Nobel festivities in Stockholm

Physics and chemistry medals
On December 10, Nobel Day, one of the world’s most prestigious awards will be presented by HM Carl XVI Gustav to a handful of individuals for their exceptional contributions to the world of science, economics, and literature. After the award ceremony int the Concert Hall, the laureates, their families, and other invited guests make their way to the City Hall, where one of Sweden’s most exclusive parties takes place. The 1,300 dinner guests include members of the Royal Family, the Nobel Prize laureates and other outstanding scientists, as well as some of Sweden’s most influential people.

Many people would love to attend the Nobel Prize festivities, but few are priviledged to do so. Tomorrow evening, after work, I will dress up, sipp some champagne and enjoy the festivities on the tv-screen.

The Fair expands

The extension of Stockholm International Fairs will be ready at the turn of the year. The project was sparked by the Fair's ambition to once again host Europe's largest congress, the European Society of Cardiology which takes place in the end of August 2010.

The extension offers other advantages as well. Larger floor space and new restaurant areas combined with adaptable, flexible solutions will mean more customers and new possibilities. The additional space will allow greater flexibility at popular fairs such as the Stockholm Furniture Fair in february.

The walkway will have a polished surface and lots of green details, efforts are also put in to the entrance and the restaurant area.
