SAS opens new routes to Stockholm

SAS opens two new summer routes to Stockholm. The route from Dubrovnik on wednesdays July 1-August 12 and from Antalya on tuesdays June 23-August 11.

The SAS flight from Malta will also return during this forth comming summer. SAS will also extend the number of fligthts from Malaga, Nice and Palma de Mallorca during the upcomming summer.


SAS opens route from Malta


Scandinavian Airlines
will open a new route from Malta to Stockholm-Arlanda starting April 2, 2009. The route runs twice a week, Thursday and Sunday, until november 8.

Ryanair opens direct flight from USA

Ryanair will open a new route from USA to Stockholm Skavsta Airport. the new route will open in a year from now.

There are five new routes to Stockholm this autumn. The first one starts on October 20.

Low price airlines to Arlanda Airport


Stockholms main international airport have three-doubled the number of low-price airlines during the past five years. This autumn a new airline, EasyJet, will start to fly to Arlanda from Geneva and Milan Malpensa.

New flight from Rostock

Ryanair will open a new summer route from Rostock in Germany to Stockholm Skavsta. The flight starts June 4.

Dubai and Atlanta are two of the new direct flights that will be launched during 2008:

Fly Nordic opened direct flights from Geneve (2/2) and will open from Nice (14/3), Tallinn (30/3), Bordeaux (3/4), Alicante (5/4), Malaga (5/4), Dubrovnik (26/4) and Split (26/4).

New flight route from Estonia

Skyways opens a new route from Pärnu in Estonia to Stockholm by the end of May 2008.

New route from Düsseldorf

Fly Nordic opens a new route between Düsseldorf and Arlanda on June 12.

Flight coach from Kista to Arlanda and Bromma

People visiting the Kista Science City, Stockholm will be able to travel by Flight coach (Flygbussarna) to and from Bromma and Arlanda Airport starting February 4th. The route will go via Bromma Airport, Marabouparken, Rissne Centrum, Rissneleden, Ärvingevägen, Kista Centrum and Oddegatan to Arlanda Airport. Tickets can be bought online or on the bus.  Price from Bromma-Kista SEK 69, Bromma-Arlanda SEK 99 and Arlanda-Kista SEK 99.

From Alicante (starting April 5) Mon, Wed, Sat and (+ Fri, from June 4).

From Krakow (starting Jan 14) Mon, Wed, Fri and  Sun.

From Malaga (starting April 5) Saturdays (+Tues, from June 17)

From Paris (starting Jan 14) Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sund.

Increase in travel to Stockholm in November

The number of passengers travelling on international flights at LFV Airports increased by a massive 10% in November compared with the same month last year. A total of 1, 7 million passengers flew from Stockholm-Arlanda and Stockholm-Bromma during Neptember this year. This is a 3 percent increase compared with the same month in 2006. International passenger numbers in September were up 10 percent to 1,1 million whilst domestic passenger numbers were down 3 percent to 0,6 million.

SAS expands routes from Beijing to Stockholm

SAS
will doubble the number of fligths between Beijing and Stockholm in spring 2008, from three to six flights per week. Beijing-Stockholm, thursday-tuesday at 14.45. Stockholm-Beijing, wednesday-monday at 22.30.

Fly Nordic starts three new routes from Arlanda

Fly Nordic will open three new routes from Arlanda in 2008. February 2nd from Geneva (on saturdays only). On April 26 Fly Nordic will open two routes from Croatia: From Split and from Dubrovnik.


New Sterling flights from Stockholm

Sterling
are expanding their flights to Stockholm. People living in Firenze in Italy or Murcia in Spain will be able to fly to Arlanda next summer. The new routes opens April 1, but you can reserve your tickets from today. Prices starting on 675 SEK  per person. 

Arlanda Visitor Centre greets tourists first

The new Arlanda Vistor Center (AVC) will be a great complement to the Stockholm Tourist Centre in Kungsträdgården, being situated at Arlanda where many foreign tourists land. AVC will open on September 21 and will be a complete tourist office. The staff has all been educated by the Stockholm Visitors Board and have all worked this summer at the touristoffice.

Airport coaches expands traffic to Skavsta

Airport coaches (Flygbussarna) expands traffic to Skavsta Airport with a new route between Gullmarsplan south of the City centre and Skavsta Airport starting October 28. The new line will stop at: Gullmarsplan, Västberga, Skärholmen, Södertälje Syd and end at Skavsta Airport. This route will complement the Cityterminal-Skavsta route.

First flight from Doha in Qatar to Stockholm

Qatar Airways starts their flights to Stockholm-Arlanda from Qatar november 27 this year. Qatar Airways is just one of several new direct intercontinental flights to Stockholm. SAS started flights from Beijing and Bankok earlier this year. There will be four weekly flights from Doha to Stockholm every week and the will take 6 hours.
