Got a preview of the new Clarion Sign hotel today. The hotel, Stockholms largest with 558 rooms,  will open in february 2008 at Norra Bantorget close to the Central station and filled with furniture of nordic classic designers Arne Jacobsen, Alvar Aalto and Bruno Mattsson and a restaurant runned by New York swede Marcus Samuelson of Aquavit-restaurant. The Norra Bantorget has all the potential for being the next trendy area in Stockholm, and this is why: Bonniers Konsthall and the shops, cafées and plants that are being built in the area will connect the New Norra Bantorget area with Vasastan. Skanska Nya hem is building 75 apartments and Familjebostader is building 58 around the new Lilla Bantorget square. Rolfs Kök, Grill and the other restaurants plus cafées on this side of Drottninggatan has already brought light into this area.
