Crown Princess Victoria hottest Princess in the world


"The wedding of Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria was the invitation of the season. Dozens of royals descended on Stockholm in June to help celebrate the country's first royal wedding since 1976. Among the guests were Monaco's Prince Albert, the Netherlands' Queen Beatrix and Jordan's Queen Rania (who tweeted about the event)", says Forbes in their list of the Worlds Hottest young Royals. Crown Princess Victoria is found on the third place and is the hottest princess in the world at the moment, according to Forbes.

The Toy Company Mattel introduced a new barbie this year named Victoria after the Swedish Crown Princess.

Royal Wedding worth 2,5 billion

The royal wedding is worth millions in PR for Sweden and Stockholm - more than 2,7 billion SEK to be precise. Media Pilot have been commissioned by Visit Sweden, Foreign Ministry and Swedish Institute to calculate the advertising value of the webb and printed articles in 16 countries; Germany, USA, Norway, China, Spain, Japan, UK, France, India, Denmark, Russia, Finland, Brazil, netherlands, Italy and Portugal.


LOVE Stockholm attracted 2 million visitors

The loveStockholm party in conjunction with the Royal wedding in Stockholm attracted some 2 million visitors. Approximately 500 000 saw the royal cortège on June 19th.

Our present swedish king Carl XVI Gustaf grew up at the Haga Palace. This summer his daughter, Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Daniel Westling will move in to the palace. At the Royal Court site you can read more about the palace .

Buildings along the cortège route

The Crown Princess couple will pass many of the citys land marks during the courtège route on June 19, in connection with their wedding. The obelisque, the Parliament building, the Royal Opera House, the concert house etcetera. Find out more about the buildings here.

Royal Parade on June 19



If you are in Stockholm on June 19th you can get a glimpse of the newly wed Crown Princess. The Royal Court have recently announced the Royal Parade that takes place after the wedding ceremony in Storkyrkan (Stockholm Cathedral)

The parade starts at 16.30 at the Stockholm Cathedral, via Norrbro, Strömgatan, Kungsträdgårdsgatan, Hamngatan, Sveavägen, Kungsgatan, Stureplan, Birger Jarlsgatan, Strandvägen, Djurgården and then on with the Vasalup ship (approx 1705). The parade takes two hours.

Royal Haga - A part of the Royal National City Park
is a new sightseeing tour which combines the Royal and the Green angle of stockholm. The tour takes you to Haga Palace, the residence of Crown Princess Victoria and Mr Daniel Westling when they get married in June.

Modern wedding dresses at PUB



Dress above Fifth Avenue
The lifestyle departmentstore PUB lets six swedish designers show their modern version of a wedding dress designed for the Crown Princess Victoria. The dresses will be exhibited at PUB April 30-May 9 and will then be auctioned at the recognized Bukowskis auctioneer in May.

Swedish and international artists at Love Stockholm 2010

The British singer Paloma Faith will be making her Sweden debut during LOVE Stockholm 2010. Strange Fruit from Australia and tAKiDA, one of Sweden’s most popular bands at the moment will all play during LOVE Stockholm 2010.

LOVE Stockholm 2010 will commence with the inauguration of Sweden’s annual National Day festivities on June 6. The celebration then continues over the following two weeks, culminating with the wedding of HRH Crown Princess Victoria and Mr. Daniel Westling on June 19. LOVE Stockholm 2010 will take place at venues throughout the city centre as well as at various locations in the greater Stockholm area. The city will also be specially deco-rated for the two-week period.

Afternoon wedding for Crown princess Victoria

The official wedding invitation to the marriage between H.R.H Crown Princess Victoria and Mr Daniel Westling have been sent out. The wedding will take place at Stockholm Cathedral (Storkyrkan) at 15.30 in the afternoon on June 19.

This year June 6th is not only Sweden’s National Day, but also the launch of the
LOVE Stockholm 2010 festivities.

Love Stockholm 2010 is a two-week celebration in conjunction with the Royal Wedding between Crown Princess Victoria and Mr. Daniel Westling on June 19th.

– LOVE Stockholm 2010 is the City of Stockholm’s way to honor the royal wedding and the Royal couple. For two weeks Stockholm will celebrate love in an event open to all - stockholmers and visitors alike. During the festivities the city offers an exciting program of activities and performances for all ages, says Mr. Sten Nordin, Mayor of Stockholm.

Thursday April 15th at 11.00 am, the City of Stockholm invites you to the City Hall for a press conference to present the event – LOVE Stockholm 2010, June 6th – 19th. 

The press conference will cover, among other things, the following

  • Samples of artists and activities during LOVE Stockholm 2010
  • The most important locations for festivities in and around Stockholm
  • The city’s vision of LOVE Stockholm 2010

Stockholm cathedral Storkyrkan during renovation


In just two months this place, Stockholm Cathedral Storkyrkan, will be in the limelight when our Crown Princess Victoria will get married in this church. We got invited by our friends at the church to go behind the scenes at the renovation. I just couldnt miss an opportunity like this... The church is closed until May 2, 2010 due to renovations. The church will then close again before the wedding and open again on the day after the Royal Wedding.

Prince Carl Philip designs for Svenskt Tenn


The swedish Prince Carl-Philip, brother of Crownprincess Victoria, have designed a fire screen in cast iron depicting The castle Tre Kronor with a decorative steeple in brass for Svenskt Tenn. The Tre Kronor was the old royal castle, which was tragically almost destroyed by a violent fire in 1697. The screen is made by Lyrestads gjuteri and is named "The Castle is on Fire" CPB 2101 and costs 13500 SEK.

The Prince designed silver cutlery "CPB 2091" for Mema GAB last year.


Companies to promote Sweden through new branding concept

Premiere in connection with the royal wedding in June. Today a new branding concept, Brands of Sweden, was presented for promoting the brand identity of Sweden and Swedish companies internationally in conjunction with the royal wedding and the City of Stockholm’s “Love Stockholm 2010” event. The Swedish Institute, in partnership with the City of Stockholm, is behind the effort.

The Millennium tours by The City Museum have been tremendously popular. This year, with a crown princess wedding the City Museum launches two new guided tours, this time on a royal theme:
