It's not everyday that Stockholm gets a new viewpoint, but it happened last week. Well, well, the building itself was built in 1961 and has been used by the Swedish Tax Agency but has now turned into a
departmentstore called
Skrapan,
an officebuilding,
studentapartments,
apartments and the
restaurant Imperiet. A new giant glass box has been built on top of the old skyscraper - and is now the home of Stockholm's
skybar with the name "
och himlen därtill" (and heaven too). For curiosity: The Skybar is named after the 40s movie "All this, and heaven too" starring Bette Davis and Charles Boyer. It opened on Lucia, thursday December 13, and the view is amazing!!!
